by Jon Kliment

The Elmira Enforcers of the Federal Prospects Hockey League are proud to announce that the 2018-2019 Rookie of the Year in the FPHL Stepan Timofeyev is returning to Elmira and will be wearing an Enforcers uniform yet again.

Timofeyev, a 24 year old forward from St Petersburg, Russia, played 41 games for the Enforcers last season scoring 14 goals and 47 assists for 61 total points earning himself the Rookie of the Year honor. Stepan also added 9 points in Elmira’s run to the Commissioner’s Cup finals. Timofeyev began this season with Macon of the SPHL where he has contributed 4 goals and 11 assists in the SPHL.

Stepan’s grit and toughness quickly made him a fan favorite at First Arena as in addition to his scoring touch he also posted 111 penalty minutes. Timofeyev has gone to the finals in both seasons he has played in the FPHL in 2018 with the Port Huron Prowlers and last season with the Elmira Enforcers.

“Timo was a big piece of our roster last season and getting him back for the playoff push and hopefully a long playoff run will give us an added edge to our already talented roster.” Coach Brent Clarke said.

The Enforcers are set to take on the NYPD in a game on Wednesday February 19th at First Arena at 7:05 p.m. before jumping on the bus to take on the Mentor Ice Breakers Friday February 21st and Saturday February 22nd. Elmira returns to First Arena Sunday February 23rd to take on the Delaware Thunder. The Enforcers are looking to boost themselves up the standings.
