Elmira Enforcers Announce Trio of Young Talent Signings

The Elmira Enforcers of the Federal Prospects Hockey League are proud to announce the signing of three new members as they have signed Yianni Skropolis and Hudson Michaelis signed on out of the Swedish Elite League and Dayton Murray comes to the Enforcers out of the GMHL.

Skropolis, 22 a forward out of Cambridge,ON, played last season in division 1,2, and 3 in the Swedish Elite League. In 22 games Yianni scored 30 points (18 goals and 12 assists) while putting up 63 penalty minutes. In just one game at the division one level Skropolis posted three goals and two assists. Yianni adds a dynamic presence to an already strong offensive corps. “Skropolis is a speedy, energy player who can aide our already skilled offense.” Coach Brent Clarke said.

Michaelis, 23 a centreman also out of Cambridge, ON, played 33 games of division one hockey in Sweden last year for Ostersunds IK. Hudson posted 16 points during the regular season (9 goals and 7 assists) while going +4 on the season. Michaelis also had an assist in five games in the playoffs. Hudson has continuously posted high point totals throughout his career and will be looking to add to the Enforcers elite offense. “Michaelis is a dominant centreman who will put up good numbers here in Elmira.” Clarke told media members.

Murray, 22 a defenseman out of Spruce Grove, AB, was the captain of the Temiscaming Titans GMHL club. In 42 games Dayton posted 63 points (20 goals and 43 assists) and added another goal and assist in three playoff games. Murray previously spent time in the OHL with the North Bay Batttalion in 2016-17. Dayton is known for his leadership abilities as well as his strong play on the defensive side of the puck. “Murray is a skilled D man who played in the OHL which carries a lot of weight for me. He’s going to be a huge asset for us on the blueline.” Coach said.

The Enforcers will be heading back to First Arena this year as they attempt to claim the Commissioner’s Cup in their second season after making it all the way to the championship series before falling short against Carolina.
