Enforcers Beef Up Roster

by Jon Kliment

The Elmira Enforcers of the Federal Prospects Hockey League are proud to announce they have acquired Mark Essery from the Mentor Ice Breakers in exchange for Jack Chudleigh, Dominick Horvath, and Financial Considerations.

Essery, 27 a forward out of Waterbury, CT comes to the Enforcers having spent the previous season and a half in Mentor. Mark has totaled 32 goals and 40 assists for 72 points in his time in Mentor and adding 292 penalty minutes between the two seasons. Essery has been a thorn in the side of the Enforcers and will continue to be an impact player that the fans will like to root for.

Owner Robbie Nichols was very excited to get this deal done. “Essery is the type of player you love to watch play. Hard on the puck and aggressive with a scoring touch. This move makes our team not only better, but deeper and tougher.” Nichols said.

Elmira will be on the road this weekend as they take on the Danville Dashers Friday February 7th and Saturday February 8th for 8:05 pm matchups and then head out to Port Huron on Sunday February 9th for an afternoon battle with the Prowlers at 3 pm. The Enforcers will be back in First Arena Friday February 14th and Saturday February 15th as they welcome the Watertown Wolves to town.
