Enforcers Building for Playoff Run, Trade for Ondrej Misovic

by Jon Kliment

The Danville Dashers and Elmira Enforcers continue to wheel and deal as head coach Brent Clarke looks to build his vision of the championship winning team, as the Enforcers acquired Defenseman Ondrej Misovic from the Danville Dashers for Giancarlo Caranci.

Despite being contractually bound to the Dashers the 6’3 181 pound defender has spent the majority of the season in the Southern Professional Hockey League with another first year team, the Quad City Storm.

Misovic adds a lot to an already large Enforcers defense. In addition to his size, Ondrej brings a defensive mindedness that will benefit Elmira through the stretch run and into the post season. The Enforcers have continued to make an impact offensively and this move should solidify the defensive line behind them.

The Enforcers play tonight at 7:05 pm against Ondrej’s former team, the Danville Dashers as the teams begin a weekend series that will see the Danville Dashers here this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are on sale now at the box office, on tickets.com, or by calling 607-734-PUCK.
