The Elmira Enforcers continue to sure up their roster as they are proud to announce two more signings today as Goaltender Troy Passingham and local forward Marko Novosel have returned for the 2019-2020 season.

Passingham,28, returns for his second season with the Enforcers after setting high bars for the first year franchise last season as he won 21 games in the regular season while dressing in 53 with a .925 save percentage. Troy was second in almost every goaltending category last season throughout the league and aspires to come in and finish the job this season.

“Everything in Elmira is so great, the town, the team, and the owners made it an easy decision to come back.” Passingham said. “We all talked about it and we want to come back and finish the job we started last season. It’s been really cool to be a part of the Enforcers and now we are ready to make a run.”

“Troy is a proven winner. We were two wins from a title last season and Troy is a big reason for that.” Coach Brent Clarke said about Passingham. “He has won everywhere he’s been. He had a Memorial Cup in Windsor and an SPHL Championship in Macon in 2017. It gives the players a great deal of confidence knowing your goaltending is solid and that you have a guy back there who can steal you games.”

Novosel, 26, worked from the Pro Placement camp last season to make the team and was able to dress in 57 games scoring 12 goals 8 assists last season while finishing with a +3. Marko not only had a successful rookie campaign in his own right, but he also scored the first goal and hat trick in franchise history for the Enforcers.

“It was my dream to come play at First Arena and when Brent Clarke was nice enough to give me a shot and I am loving every minute of it.” Novosel said. “Pro placement camp was an absolute battle and it showed what it takes to be a professional. The fans have been unbelievable and I look forward to getting back out there and chasing down the cup.”

“Marko came in with a positive attitude and worked hard at the camp and made it hard to cut him. That is the kind of player who you want on the bench.” Coach Clarke said about Novosel. “The great thing about the pro placement camp is getting the chance to see talent that may have just been missed and Novy showed exactly what I wanted to see with his work ethic.”
