Game Preview 10/25

by Jon Kliment

The Enforcers and Thunderbirds face-off for the first of four season meetings after a tumultuous first season series that Carolina got the better of both in the regular season and throughout the best of five series between the two clubs in the championship, Elmira will be looking to kick off the season with a far more impactful run then they were able to get off to last as they began their inaugural season with a four game losing streak at the hands of the Dashers and these same Thunderbirds. The Enforcers will be looking to make a much higher impact on special teams this year after having 20% on the power play and a very respectable 82% on the penalty kill last season.

TIME: 7:05 p.m.
PLACE: First Arena

- Enforcers Winger Séan Reynolds #81 looks to score 100 points in 100 career professional games. Reynolds had a phenomenal year for the Enforcers last year and will be looking to carry that over into his second year in Elmira.

- Last year’s leader in points, goals, and assists Ahmed Mahfouz #19 returns as Assistant Coach and will look to continue to write the FPHL record books in his 10th FPHL season.

- Coach Brent Clarke will finish his suspension with these two games this weekend. However, that gives owner Robbie Nichols the chance to step back behind the bench for the Enforcers, where he was 3 for 3 with wins bringing his running total to 330 regular season wins. He also went 1-1-0 in the playoffs against Carolina here at the First Arena, the only win in the series for the Enforcers!

Carolina has lost a number of players from its championship season, but still maintains a powerful offense
