The Elmira Enforcers close out their home series with the defending champion Carolina Thunderbirds. The Enforcers (0-0-0-0, 0 points, .000%) fell short against the Thunderbirds (1-0-0-0, 3 points, 1.000%) in their home opener.
The Thunderbirds have continuously found ways to beat the Enforcers with Elmira’s lone win during the regular season coming in overtime at home off a Stepan Timofeyev goal last season.
This is the second of two meetings at First Arena and the second of four in the season series.

ENFORCERS NOTES
- Enforcers forward Ahmed Mahfouz #19 had the first Penalty Shot in an Enforcers opening game in history
- Though the Enforcers struggled to score the Penalty Kill was on fire going a perfect 4 for 4
- Coach Brent Clarke will finish his suspension tonight. However, that gives owner Robbie Nichols the chance to step back behind the bench for the Enforcers, where he maintains a 3-1 record!

Peter Panacek scored the game winning goal for the first game of the season
The Thunderbirds have Henry Dill back in net for the start of the season, Dill won Goaltender of the month early on in 2018-19 and had a solid performance in game 1
