Huge Addition to Enforcers Roster

by Jon Kliment

The Elmira Enforcers of the Federal Prospects Hockey League are proud to announce that the team has added Dmytro Babenko to their active roster today.

Babenko is a 24 year old forward from Kharkov, UKR who spent all last year with the Elmira Enforcers. During his time here in Elmira, Dmytro scored 11 goals and 23 assists, while adding 2 more assists in the post season. Babenko’s hard-nosed style of play made him a fan favorite during his time here and Brent Clarke is happy to have him back. “Babs was a big piece we were missing. He’s going to bring excitement and a hardnosed style of play.” Coach Clarke told media members.

Dmytro played two games with the Enforcers on the road in Carolina this season as Elmira found a way to defeat the Thunderbirds despite missing many regulars from the lineup. Babenko had four shots that weekend and his gritty style added a lot to the Enforcers roster.

The Enforcers are on the road against Watertown this weekend, but return to First Arena Friday, January 24th at 7:05 pm against the Port Huron Prowlers. While the Enforcers are on the road, Xtreme International Ice Racing Championships will invade the First Arena Friday January 10th and Saturday January 11th!
