Mahfouz and Passingham Earn Player and Goaltender of the Month For January

The Elmira Enforcers of the Federal Prospects Hockey League are proud to announce that Ahmed Mahfouz and Troy Passingham were both given awards for January as Ahmed Mahfouz earned player of the month and Troy Passingham took home goaltender of the month.

Mahfouz, a 30-year-old forward is a native of Ottawa, ONT, Canada, and played in 9 games for the Enforcers and scored 10 goals with 18 assists for 28 points. Ahmed’s 28 points in the month moved him from 10th in scoring to now being the league leader. He had three games during the month where he picked up 5 points each against the Battle Creek Rumble Bees, Watertown Wolves and Danbury Hat Tricks. The Danbury game on January 17, 2020 will be a memorable date for Mahfouz. That is the date where he recorded his 800th FPHL point.

Passingham, a 29-year-old is from Mississauga, ONT was 5-3 in 8 games with a 2.47 GAA and a .935 SV%. He closed out the month, January 31st, with his best game allowing only one goal and making 40 saves at home versus the Columbus River Dragons. Troy now has 58 wins in his professional career spanning the FPHL and SPHL.

Both Players have been staples of the Enforcers since their inception last season playing major roles in the Enforcers chase to the Commissioner’s Cup Finals last year.

The Enforcers return home this weekend as they battle with the Watertown Wolves on Friday February 14th and Saturday February 15th at 7:05pm at First Arena. The Enforcers come home riding a 6 game winning streak and taking at least point from their last 13 games, and will look to add to their lead for second place in the Eastern Division.
